Company History

In September 2003, after more than 18 years in operation, Argus Services, an award-winning security firm that operated in eight Western States, with over 2000 employees, was sold. Argus Services was owned and operated by Mr. James Schoenleber. James has his BS and MS from Southern Oregon University, majoring in Criminal Justice. Jim was a decorated police officer and detective for a major city in the Pacific Northwest. From Jim's long experience, he knows the value of protecting Americans' rights, and has seen first-hand the aftermath of criminals assuming another's identity.

Jeannene (Kurtz) Schoenleber was the Director of Sales & Marketing for Argus Services. Part of Argus Services' product line included online background checks. Recognizing the demand of employers' security needs in all industries, Jim and Jeannene decided to continue the service of online background checks through Argus-Search, Inc.�In the last four years, we have expanded to service more than 400 employers across the nation.
